2. What was the most memorable exhibit you’ve seen recently?<\/i><\/p>\n

Harvey Dunn, “The Original Donation” at the South Dakota Art Museum; a powerful exhibit of prarie and homesteader paintings painted by an artist painting what he loved. Talk about “painting from the gut!” And then he donated them all to the University.<\/p>\n

3. What is your favorite building in Utah?<\/i><\/p>\n

The Provo Library (old BYU Academy); my favorite building for sentimental reasons of it being an old college hangout place for me during my BYU days. Plus, I love the idea of restoring an old building and making it useful again. And who doesn’t love a library? Who doesn’t love books?<\/p>\n

A native of the West, John Berry<\/a> left a career as an Illustrator to become a full-time painter. He lives in Cache Valley and paints the western landscape he has known since his youth. He maintains a blog here<\/a> where you can see old works, works in progress and postcard size paintings like the one above.
