Park City’s Kimball Art Center<\/a> announced this week that Pam Crowe-Weisberg<\/a> has stepped down from her position as Executive Director. In announcing this change, the Kimball’s Board of Directors noted that Crowe-Weisberg has served in the position for the past four years, during which time the Kimball “introduced a series of highly attended exhibits, created a robust arts education program for children and adults, and attracted significant grants and corporate funding.” Under her leadership, the Arte Latino celebration was introduced, the Park City Arts Festival has continued to grow, and the Park City Gallery Association has held monthly gallery walks.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of the Board of Directors, we want to thank Pam for having taken the Kimball to a new level of community relevance and involvement. She leaves the center in excellent condition for future growth,\u201d said Bruce Larrabee, Chairman of the Kimball Art Center. Larrabee has stepped in as the Interim Director.<\/p>\n

Ms. Crowe-Weisberg joined the nonprofit in January 2004. She is leaving to attend to family matters.<\/p>\n

Shortly after making this announcement, Susan Thomas, Public Relations Director at the Kimball, announced her own departure. She will focus on her own marketing firm, Susan\u2019s Consulting<\/a>, and will no longer be an employee of the Kimball Art Center. She said the Kimball told her they will eliminate the PR Director position at the community nonprofit art center. There are no plans to refill the position.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m glad that I was able to help dramatically increase the media coverage for the nonprofit Kimball Art Center,” Thomas said.\u00a0“I increased the media coverage ten-fold. I also greatly increased their advertising reach while decreasing their ad budget. I was able to build partnerships to gain $106,000 in free advertising for the Kimball during 2007. The media coverage was well deserved by the Kimball\u2019s art programs in education, events and exhibits. Now, I\u2019m job hunting and seeking new marketing clients. I\u2019m looking forward to using my skills in PR and advertising to help other organizations and corporations in the future.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
