Margaret Hunt<\/p><\/div>\n

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade announced Tuesday that Margaret Hunt, director of Utah’s Arts & Museums for the past eight years, has been selected as the new director of its division of Colorado Creative Industries.<\/p>\n

Hunt was appointed to Utah’s Arts & Museums, a division of the Department of Heritage and Arts, in January 2005 by former Governor Jon Huntsman. Before that, she served as director of community and economic development for Salt Lake City, and in the private sector as manager of economic development programs for Pacificorp\/Rocky Mountain Power.<\/p>\n

\u201cMargaret Hunt\u2019s service and dedication to Utah\u2019s arts community has been an asset to the state,\u201d Department of Heritage & Arts Executive Director Julie Fisher Fisher said. \u201cWe are saddened by the news that she is leaving, but hope she will continue to be a friend to Utah\u2019s arts communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fisher said Division of Arts & Museums Deputy Director Lynnette Hiskey will serve as acting director while a search is conducted. Hiskey has served in the division for nine years.<\/p>\n
