The exhibit features a variety of her creations in the  Legacy Gallery.<\/p>\n<p>Kolene Granger\u2019s interest in gourd carving started four  years ago.  Formerly the Superintendent of Schools in St. George,  Granger\u2019s interest in art was latent until a friend presented her with a  baseball sized coyote gourd that they then carved. Mosaics and Native  American imagery inspire her.  While she continues to experiment, she  has shown in the St. George Art Museum\u2019s Regional exhibit for 4 years.<\/p>\n<p>Granger is convinced that everyone has art somewhere  within them, but that time, experience, and encouragement are needed for  it to blossom.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, April 21 at 7pm at the St. George Art  Museum, she will present a Conversation about her art as part of the 3rd  Thursday series. The exhibit opening for the Public is Friday, April 8  from 6 to 8pm.  Subsequent Museum hours are Tuesday \u2013 Saturday from 10  to 5 for the duration of the exhibit.
