Holiday Craft Exhibition and Sale at Finch Lane Gallery<\/p><\/div>\n

It\u2019s not always easy to find a unique, perfect gift for everyone on your Christmas list. But a good place to start is always in the local arts community.<\/p>\n

You can kick off your holiday shopping with a trip to the annual Finch Lane Gallery Holiday Art & Craft Exhibit which opens Friday, November 30. Check out their selection of paintings, sculptures, wall hangings, pottery, and more. The exhibit runs through December 19. Regular hours are Monday \u2013 Friday 10 a.m to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are located at 54 Finch Lane in Reservoir Park.<\/p>\n

Continue your shopping at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center<\/a> for their sixth-annual winter market on Saturday, December 1. You\u2019ll find more than 35 booths with handcrafted, local art that is sure to please anyone on your list. The festivities also include live performances and the Trees of Diversity <\/em>exhibit. The market will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. They are located at 1355 West 3100 South.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re in the mood to make your own gift, or you\u2019d like to spread some holiday cheer by making a wreath for your door, Marina Alexandrescu is holding a holiday wreath-making workshop on December 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Art Access will provide the materials you need but participants are encouraged to bring items to personalize the wreaths. Those can include souvenirs from memorable trips, vintage ornaments, baby mementos and more. The workshop will be held at Art Access and the cost is $25 per person. Register here.<\/p>\n

On December 8 and 15 head to Trolley Square for the People\u2019s Holiday Market<\/a>.\u00a0You will find a selection of handmade jewelry; knitted or crocheted hats, scarves, sweaters, gloves, mittens, Afghans; baby clothes; soaps; shampoos; lip balms; and lotions. It\u2019s a treasure trove of locally made, distinctive gifts. The holiday market will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Trolley Square is located on 700 E. 600 S.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t forget that this month\u2019s gallery stroll will be held on December 7 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Several local galleries are having holiday group shows that will be worth checking out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
