The 9th & 9th Business District and Salt Lake City Arts Council are hosting Whale Fest to celebrate the completion of Open Your Eyes<\/em>, a new mural by Jiyoun Lee-Lodge created for Stephen Kesler\u2019s Out of the Blue<\/em> public art project. The afternoon includes crafts and activities, local vendors, food trucks, a costume contest, Whale Call contest and parade. Costume and Whale Call contest check-in begins at 1:30 p.m., with the contests and parade following between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Crafts, vendors and food trucks will continue through 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
