Its title comes from the Southern Paiute word Too-veep, meaning \u201cthe land,\u201d emphasizing the enduring relationship between people and place.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition brings together more than 20 emerging and established artists from the Southwest and Great Basin alongside nationally recognized artists represented in the Gochman Family Collection. Through painting, weaving, basketry and mixed media, the works present the land not simply as a backdrop but as a collaborator and keeper of stories.
