Salt Lake Community College, in collaboration with The Consulate of Mexico in Salt Lake City and Artes de M\u00e9xico en Utah will present the 8th Edition of \u201cLatinArte \u2013 Our Roots\u201d exhibition and the 14th annual \u201cSor Juana Spanish Poetry Contest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Baker, Manuel Bernal, Victoria Cabanerio Gonzalez, Luis Alejandro Canel\u00f3n Escobar, Andrea C\u00e1rdenas Arceo, Norma Carver, Abi Cedillo, Ambar Chacin, Pablo Cruz-Ayala, Oscar Da Silva, Alejandra Quechol Delgado, Pablo Andr\u00e9s Escobar, Sophia Patricia Estrada, Jorge Estrano, Sof\u00eda Farias D\u00edaz de Leon, Inez Garcia, Elisa G\u00f3mez, Cecilia Izarraraz, Magdalena Jones (Jaggy Mones), Sugey Lopez, Sergio Marquez, Nataly Mu\u00f1oz, Stephania Muro, Daniella Ortiz Ram\u00edrez, Oswaldo Ponce de Leon Landa, Josefina Priotti Manzo, Cisco Rodriguez, Laura Romero, Vicente Romo, Kenneth Sanchez, Yusdelly Sanchez, Federico Valerio, Bianca Velasquez.<\/p>\n

Local Latino artists will be included in the exhibition at SLCC\u2019s George S. & Dolores Dore Eccles Art Gallery, where they will showcase their talents alongside their peers in painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, and installations.<\/p>\n

Additionally, high school students and adults residing in Utah are given the opportunity to share their voices with the community and be part of a beautiful literary tradition in Utah. Their previously unpublished poems or prose in Spanish will be published in the Sor Juana Poetry Catalog. Winning texts will win awards and be featured in the 2026 Utah Arts Festival and other cultural events in the state.<\/p>\n
