Drawing on influences ranging from Renaissance masters to Symbolist and figurative painting, Shoveiri explores what it means to be human in the modern world.<\/p>\n<p>Originally from Iran, Shoveiri studied and taught art in Tehran before living in Denmark, where he visited major European museums and encountered the work of artists including Eug\u00e8ne Delacroix, Jacques-Louis David, Leonardo da Vinci, Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon, and Pieter Bruegel.
