In Sun, Bess, Meels, Utah-based artist Amelia O’Neill presents paintings rooted in her experiences exploring the Wasatch foothills, often accompanied by her dog Bess, who appears throughout the work. Focusing on local flora and fauna, O’Neill’s intuitive approach infuses each piece with emotional resonance, translating moments in nature into lush, expressive compositions that balance observation with personal reflection.
