Eight years ago local sculptor and glass artist Dan Cummings wanted to find a venue to show off Utah’s 3-D talents. He found a partner in West Vally City’s Utah Cultural Celebration Center and the Face of Utah Sculpture exhibit was born. Tonight is the opening iteration of Utah’s biggest sculpture show, and to discuss the exhibit and the evolution and trends of local sculpture Dan Cummings talked with Jennifer Napier-Pierce today on KCPW’s CityViews. If you missed the broadcast, you should be able to listen to it online later today. Go here.
You’ll find a review of the 2010 exhibition here.
And don’t miss the opening tonight, July 12, 6-9 pm. The show continues through August 29.
