Robert Frost poetry. I don’t read as many books as I used to. With poetry, you can let it sit for two or three days and then read it again and get something different from it.
WHAT IS HANGING ABOVE YOUR MANTEL?
An original oil painting by William Forester from 1932. It’s a gentleman playing the piano and a younger gentleman playing violin. IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ANY ARTST TO PAINT OR SCULPT YOUR PORTRAIT WHO WOULD IT BE?
Vermeer. Because (sorry, Thomas Kinkaid) he was the first painter of light. And the first painter I really loved. My second choice would be Rauschenburg.
This originally appeared in the March 2005 edition of 15 Bytes
This is our chance to check in with members of Utah’s art community to see what they’ve been reading, seeing, doing.
