Jordan Johnson is an artist born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and now based in Salt Lake City, Utah. A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in 2011, Johnson’s work is inspired by the intersections of science fiction, mythology, nature, symbology, abstraction, and storytelling. Known for incorporating found materials and mixed media, Johnson’s creative process is deeply tied to material exploration. Collecting and repurposing materials not only connects them to their environment but also infuses their work with experimentation and a sense of play, resulting in dynamic and narrative-driven creations.
