James Talbot (b. 1996) is a Utah-based artist whose work explores themes of place, memory, and objecthood. Using lens-based and textual elements, Talbot reimagines locations of personal significance, mythologizing them through subtle visual cues like colors, shadows, and motifs. His recent work examines the metaphysical relationship between photographs and the physical objects they depict, aiming to evoke a numinous spirit that connects to a collective memory of these places.
