On Friday, April 16th 2021, Bea Hurd cordially invites you to her Home & Temple.
Bea’s Home, at Nox Contemporary, and her Temple, at Finch Lane Gallery, will become open to the public. She invites anyone and everyone to come inhabit the environments she has made.
Her home, the house of Strip Sear Suckle, invites the public into her private life from April 16-June 4. On the night of April 16, from 6-9pm, guests who adorn their face with masks are invited for an evening of conversation and inquiry.
Her temple, a place to Devour Digest Devote, opens its doors to new worshippers from April 26-June 11. On April 30, Bea will be present and available for conversation and guidance in ritual.
Bea has found herself consumed in consumption. In efforts to counteract her feelings of discomfort, she has chosen to construct for herself a Home and a Temple. She chooses now to reject consumption and focus on production. She chooses now to be consumed in production. Bea has melted into environment like ice cream.
She replaces rugs with Astroturf for authenticity.
She has allowed for self-digestion and invites you to see.
