The Salt Lake City Arts Council provides a wide range of programs and services to artists, arts organizations, underserved populations, the general public and visitors to the community. The Arts Council’s mission is to promote, present and support artists, arts organizations and arts activities in order to further the development of the arts community by expanding awareness access and participation. The offices and galleries of the Arts Council are housed in the historic Art Barn in Reservoir Park. Programs include the Twilight Concert Series, Living Traditions Festival, Guest Writers Series, Brown Bag Concert Series, Finch Lane and Park Gallery exhibitions, and Public Art program.
The City Arts Council manages the City Arts Grants program, awarding over 100 grants each year to Salt Lake artists, arts organizations, elementary schools and nonprofits. In addition to a quarterly newsletter, the Arts Council provides information services and technical assistance in all arts disciplines. All programs and services are free and available to the public.
