Elizabeth Sanchez, originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, is a Brigham Young University graduate with a BFA in painting, specializing in portraiture and figurative art. Her pieces have graced exhibitions at the Springville Museum of Art, the 35th Annual Creche Exhibit in Palo Alto, and at her alma mater, among other venues. In 2021, her work was recognized by the Utah Division of Art Museum and became part of the Utah State Art Collection. Elizabeth’s artistry is driven by a desire to invoke compassion and kindness, engaging viewers in a conversation between the subconscious and the conscious, the past and the present. Her work seeks to render the everyday as poetic and sacred, drawing from the wells of love and irony. Through her art, she aims to create peace within these dualities, offering a reflection on familiar experiences with a resonance that is both profound and heartfelt.
