Also going on this weekend, something that might give added incentive to anyone considering taking advantage of the beautiful weather and getting away, is the Cedar City Fall Arts Festival. Presented by the Cedar City Arts Council this Friday and Saturday (September 26 & 27) the event features selected local and regional artists in all types of visual art –painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, and others. Live musical performances and food booths round out the festivities. The festival takes place just outside the Randall L. Jones Theatre, home to the Utah Shakespearean Festival’s Fall program, which also opens this weekend. You can enjoy the art festival during the day and catch a play in the evening. This season features one work by the bard, the appropriately timed Julius Ceasar, the Victorian murder mystery, Gaslight, and the slapstick comedy Moonlight & Magnolias.
