An interview with Jen Suflita

Jennifer SuflitaPeople are taking notice of Jen Suflita, a young Salt Lake City-based painter and printmaker. Describing her current exhibit at the Finch Lane Gallery on page 8 of this month's edition of 15 Bytes, Geoff Wichert, wrote that "Jennifer Suflita makes portraits that strive to capture both the enduring characters and the fleeting moods of her subjects in a single image." Days before, Dallas Graham, the creative energy behind Montage Creative and publisher of a "daily documentary" on his blog wrote of her: "Her eyes see things in a bigger way (pun intended), as you'll see in her intaglio prints. Hundreds to thousands of little hatch marks creating form, value, and ultimately intimate emotional connection."

To see what all the fuss is about, visit her exhibit at Finch Lane Gallery, through April 11. We have included a short clip of her interview with Dallas Graham below. To listen to the full audio clip visit the Montage blog and check out all the daily documentaries.

And, finally, visit her site at http://www.jensuflita.com
