Inspired by the liberated artistic expression of the High Gothic period, Woman With Eagle Wings reimagines the story of Revelation 12 as the heroic journey of Heavenly Mother. Beginning as “a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet,” she receives eagle wings and rises—valiant and undaunted—to defeat the dragon. In a world consumed by conquest and greed, Brooke Bowen envisions the divine feminine powers of nurturing, peacemaking, and community-building as the true means of establishing the Kingdom of God. Leaning into the Feminine Divine, as Christ did in His earthly ministry, becomes the way to defeat the dragon and heal the world.
