Known for her visionary works of Last Suppers containing an odd assortment of diners, Adam and Eve motifs, her numerous cats and dramatically dressed Frida Kahlo dolls, and what critic Ehren Clark has called “the personification of naive painting,” Phillips Gallery artist Susan Kirby tells 15 Bytes: “It looks like 2015 has me chasing an ice cream cone in the sky along a spiral path! Another painting, including the Spiral Jetty is the new year’s beginning.”
Every January we check in with Utah artists to see what the new year holds in store for them.
