
The Utah Cultural Alliance (UCA) has announced their priorities for Utah’s 2025 General Legislative session:
$2 Million in one-time funding for Arts and Museums Grants Programs
$500,000 in additional America250 Utah celebration funding to be used through July 2026
$3 Million in one-time funding for the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program (BTS Arts)
$2 Million in one-time funding for the One Utah Service Fellowship Program
Maintain $1.4 Million in ongoing funding to continue supporting Utah film incentives for an emerging local workforce.
Support a nonprofit sales tax incentive: the creation of an option for arts and culture nonprofits that sell tickets to charge sales tax, a percentage of which the organization can keep
Monitor conversations regarding Zap/Rap tax reauthorization language
The iSEE (Informal Science Education Enhancement) and POPs (Professional Outreach Program in Schools) collective would like to request that both Line Item groups be added to the annual inflationary adjustment provided for certain public education programs as detailed in UT Code § 53F-2-208
