To celebrate our 20 years of publishing 15 Bytes, every few weeks since September 2021 we’ve been taking a look back at a year in our history — highlighting the major trends and events that year in our art community by looking at the articles we published in our pages.
At the end of 2021, we had reached the year 2006. That was the year that the Jarvis and Constance Doctorow Family Foundation began supporting 15 Bytes. They were our first major financial sponsor and have remained our strongest, their support a buttress against recessions, pandemics and more. In 2021, the foundation increased their regular annual support to $13,000. It is no hyperbole to say that without their support we would not be here today.
In March of 2020, Jarvis Doctorow passed away. To pay tribute, his primary school, the Mill Basin Yeshiva Academy, created this 5 minute video.
As we prepare to look back at what we published from 2007 to 2021 we wanted to share this video, to celebrate one of the individuals who made it all possible.

UTAH’S ART MAGAZINE SINCE 2001, 15 Bytes is published by Artists of Utah, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.
