Join the Salt Lake County Government Center for an evening celebrating The Great Salt Lake: An Uplifting Artistic Oasis, an exhibition highlighting the beauty, ecological importance, and cultural significance of the Great Salt Lake. Curated by Salt Lake County Art in Public Places in partnership with Wake the Great Salt Lake, the exhibition highlights the lake’s ecological and cultural importance through artworks exploring themes of reflection, memory, and environmental stewardship.
The exhibition is presented in partnership with Wake the Great Salt Lake, a temporary public art initiative supported by the Salt Lake City Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, and Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Public Art Challenge. The show invites reflection on the urgent need to protect and cherish this irreplaceable body of water.
