Spring City Heritage Days
Spring City’s annual Heritage Days celebration will be held Saturday May 28, 2005. Spring City is home to a number of Utah artists as well as the second homes and studios of many prominent artists.
During Hertiage Days renowned Home Tour you can visit many restored pioneer homes and artist studios. Included on the tour is the former home of Ella Peacock, now owned by Salt Lake gallery owner, Dave Ericson. You can see Ella Peacock’s studio, paintings, her easel and palette. Also on the tour is Horseshoe Mountain Pottery, the studios of potter Joe Bennion and his wife Lee, and the studio of watercolorist Osral Allred.
An art exhibit at the old school house will display the art of many prominent Utah artists, including a number of works on sale as part of an auction to raise money to restore the old school house. Kathryn Abajian will be on hand for book signing of First Sight of the Desert.
