Kanab
April 17 – June 26, 2025
Opening Reception: Thursday, April 17, 2025, 5:30 p.m.
The Kanab Arts Board’s Second Quarter Exhibition celebrates a vibrant spectrum of local creativity, from emerging youth artists to seasoned professionals. This quarter highlights work from students in the USU Extension Kane County 4-H program, ages 9–12, who explored STEAM concepts through papier-mâché and other media. Their imaginative creations demonstrate how art and science intersect in joyful, hands-on learning.
Also featured are works by four local artists. Contemporary realist Tally Willard presents emotive paintings that bridge past and present. Eileen Gilbert Bell shares recent work shaped by her evolving vision and deep love for the desert landscape. Macrame artist Natalie Wade revives found objects with intricate knots and fiber art. At the Kanab City Library, Jana Stone exhibits Southwestern-inspired wood burnings and mosaics that reflect her creative journey through design and craftsmanship.
The Kanab Arts Board will also honor Linda McCowan as the 2024 Artist of the Year and Ria Mendoza Hoyt as Art Supporter of the Year during the opening reception.
