Sarah Ashley Peterson is a contemporary landscape painter based in Richmond, Utah. Raised in a small Idaho town, Sarah developed a deep love of nature, which continues to inspire her work. After studying graphic design at Utah State University, she earned her BFA with an emphasis in Painting and Drawing from the University of Utah in 2017. Her work, influenced by the mountainous terrain around her, uses geometric abstraction, pattern, and bold color to reimagine horizon lines and create modernist spaces. When not painting in her studio, Sarah enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring the outdoors with her husband, son, and three cats.
