Through October 25
RECALL : 2020.
At the onset of 2020, a pandemic brought the world to a halt adversely affecting the lives of every person on the planet. Covid-19 is now a household name. Panic and dismay, death, eruptions of political and social unrest, and unemployment and a financial crisis not seen for almost a century, has greatly altered normality.
Education has been radically modified. Social-distancing, online learning, and face coverings have become the standard for educational institutions. Students anticipating the customary completion of degrees and graduation commencement have been disillusioned by the sudden termination of these celebrations. Snow College is not immune to these disappointments.
This Spring, a few Snow College Visual Art AFA candidates were able to host their final solo AFA Thesis Exhibitions on campus while others were forced to exhibit and defend their work on a virtual platform. This exhibition RECALLs work from most of the 2020 graduating class providing a physical venue to those emerging artists to exhibit their creative labors as a unified collective.
Creativity is resilient even in unprecedented times.
Please visit the Snow College Art Gallery and partake in some amazing visual and intellectual stimuli. The gallery located in the Humanities & Arts building on the Ephraim campus and is open M-F from 8:30-5:30. RECALL : 2020 continues tentatively through Friday, October 25, 2020.
