ARTIST STATEMENT
What is the best use to all the stacks of white papers? ART!
I started sketching at age 5 and started painting one year after. I love nature and wilderness. I love
drawing and painting different aspects of nature and wilderness, including animals and fantasy animals
(such as dragons). I use art to express my creativity and my love for these animals. I also use art to
express my feelings. I often draw or paint when I am bored or when I have some free time (and it
happens a lot, by the way though I am not usually bored). I love art and the tools that make it. I hope
everyone love art as much as I do. I hope everyone love nature and life as much as I do.
ARTIST BIO
A self-taught watercolorist, Pam Baumeister has been painting for over 25 years. Inspired by the delight and wonder of childhood, her work focuses on capturing moments of nostalgia, ranging from classic cars and vintage toys, to scenes from childhood.
In addition to participating in a variety of public art markets every year, her work has been featured at the Sears Art Museum and the JKR Gallery. In 2016, she started receiving commission requests, and so began selling her work online. She shares her art online with social media fans, and at www.pambaumeister.com.
In addition to making memories with her own family of four girls and her husband, Pam enjoys skiing, yoga, reading a good book, and traveling.
