In No Place Like Home, Salt Lake City–based artist Scout Invie explores the layered identity of the American West through textiles, performance, and multimedia works. Born in Jackson Hole, Wyoming—an epicenter of both affluence and inequality—Invie’s work reflects on the contradictions of the region: its beauty and disillusionment, its environmental precarity, and its persistent mythos.
Invie’s practice investigates how the West is imagined and commodified while offering intimate, tactile interpretations of place. Through intricate design and immersive experience, her work unravels the stories embedded in land, labor, and legacy.
