Curated by Roxanne Gray in collaboration with 801 Salon, Nepantla: Border Arte brings together local visual and performance artists to explore the concept of “nepantla”—a space of cultural and emotional in-betweenness coined by theorist Gloria Anzaldúa. Through work that spans media and generations, the exhibition examines themes of assimilation, erasure, lineage, and migration, creating a space for collective resistance, storytelling, and healing.
Roxanne Gray is a Utah-based curator, artist, and community advocate dedicated to centering care, collaboration, and representation. Through 801 Salon, she uplifts BIPOC artists of all genders and fosters work that challenges dominant narratives while building cultural bridges.
