It’s the first Wednesday of the month, which means we should be posting the new edition of 15 Bytes today (ok, let’s be honest it’s usually about midnight, or sometimes even Thursday when we post). But since many are still out for the holidays, we’ve decided to wait until Monday to post the edition — to make sure we get the maximum number of eyeballs on it.
In the meantime, we thought we’d share a little of something we are working on for this edition. Salt Lake City artist Nathan Florence is spearheading a film project on the Art & Belief movement, a group of idealistic young artists who moved to rural Utah County to live in a community together with the intention of changing the world. It was 1966, but they weren’t hippies. They were Mormons.
In the January 2013 edition of 15 Bytes Dale Thompson will be reporting on the project and sharing her interview with Florence. In the meantime, you can check out the film’s trailer. Learn more about the film at artandbelieffilm.com.
UTAH’S ART MAGAZINE SINCE 2001, 15 Bytes is published by Artists of Utah, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.
