Louise Fischman, a New York-born artist who now resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, has a rich background in art and education, shaped by diverse cultural influences and her early exposure to the American West’s landscapes. A Pratt Institute alumna, Fischman’s initial foray into the West began with a summer project in Arizona, which left a lasting impression on her and influenced her subsequent move to New Mexico. There, she engaged in community art education and mural projects, celebrating local history and natural splendors.
