I was born in Osawatomie, Kansas. I began singing at a very early age and eventually achieved a Bachelor of Arts in vocal performance. After leaving corporate life, my passion for painting resurfaced and my desire to be expressive took precedence. I am influenced by life experiences as well as by music. I get excited when exploring new materials and techniques. The creative process is incomplete until I give a painting a title. I use ambiguous words and phrases as I prefer that viewers have their own experience with each painting. Like Cecil B. DeMille, “Creativity is a drug I cannot live without.”
