Salt Lake City
April 14 – May 12, 2025
Opening Reception: Friday, April 18, 2025, 6–9 p.m.
David Ericson Fine Art presents New Works, a solo exhibition of oil paintings by Utah artist G. Russell Case. Known for his evocative interpretations of the Western landscape, Case combines plein air observation with a deeply personal, poetic approach. Influenced by classical traditions and artists such as Robert Henri, his work seeks not just to depict, but to express—capturing the quiet reverence he feels in the presence of Utah’s vast deserts, canyons, and skies.
Born in Cedar City and now residing in northern Utah, Case has painted professionally for decades, transitioning from watercolor to oil in 1999—a move that propelled his career and expanded his artistic range. Each composition in this new body of work reflects his lifelong engagement with light, form, and the divine beauty of the natural world.
