Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC) has announced the appointment of Adrian Budhu as its new Managing Director. Budhu, who brings extensive experience in arts leadership, will co-lead the renowned regional theatre alongside Artistic Director Karen Azenberg.
“After an extensive, nationwide search, Pioneer Theatre Company is pleased to welcome Adrian Budhu,” said Azenberg, highlighting Budhu’s “wealth of experience” and “proven track record of effective leadership in arts organizations across the nation.”
Budhu’s previous roles include interim Executive Director at the Broadway Advocacy Coalition and The Theater Offensive, as well as Managing Director at East West Players. His background also includes leadership positions at Theatre Communications Group and The Theater Offensive, as well as participation in various cultural and social justice initiatives. Budhu holds a B.S. in Management Studies from Boston University and a Harvard Business School Online Certificate in Disruptive Strategy.
