A retrospective on Utah artist V. Douglas Snow, who died in 2009, is currently on exhibit in two Salt Lake locations: the Salt Lake Art Center’s Street Gallery, and the UMFA’s Great Hall.
In our September edition of 15 Bytes we’ll be reviewing the retrospective. While we’re getting that ready (the edition is scheduled to be posted late this evening) you might want to go back and take a look at a couple of pieces we published on the artist last year. In our November 2009 edition we published a photographic essay of the artist’s studio at the time of his death, as well as a memorial tribute to the artist by Frank McEntire, who curated the current retrospective.
Also, last week KUER rebroadcast their conversation with the late artist regarding his connection to place. Listen to it here.
