Throughout July, Urban Arts Gallery is featuring the work of the Nopalera Media Collaborative, a local artist group of People of Color. Guest curated by Jorge Arellano (aka StencilJam), this collection of work is designed to celebrate culture diversity, as well as make powerful commentary about our society and our world. Work by the collective will be showcased not only in the gallery, but also throughout the streets of Salt Lake City.
Featured artists include: Izzy Fernandez, Jorge Rodriguez, Mariela Mendoza, IzInfinite, Andrew Alba, Jorge Arellano, and Rose Park Brown Berets.
The exhibit will hang from July 2nd to August 4th, with an opening reception on Friday, July 13th from 6-9pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
