Christopher Woodward

Christopher Woodward is a multi-disciplinary artist. His work utilizes alternative photography techniques, the camera, and organic sculptural forms. Woodward’s work explores themes of the Anthropocene, queer ecology, death, and mourning.

He received an AFA and AS from Snow College and is expected to graduate from the University of Utah with a BFA in photography in fall 2023. Woodward is currently working for the Utah Museum of Fine Arts as an assistant preparator, he was previously a co-curator of Lumlux Gallery, and has been a registrar, preparator, and oversaw a residency program at Modern West Fine Arts. He has most recently been exhibited in the Alfred Lambourne Prize exhibition. Some of his selected exhibitions include View From the Shore at Writ and Vision and Earth at Modern West Fine Arts. He has also been published in the national visual and literary publication Artemis Journal, HyperFocal, and Weeds.
