Christo, Bikinis and Gnomes: Mixed Media This Week

The big Utah art news this week is that world-renowned environmental artist Christo is in town. He won’t be wrapping any buildings or hanging fabric across our local landscape, but he will be appearing at the University of Utah Tuesday to speak about his work. The event is sold out, but you can hear him speak with Doug Fabrizio on KUER’s Radio West at 11 am and 7 pm Tuesday. Among the other speakers on the program is curator and art historian Hikmet Loe, who will be the subject of this month’s Art Professional Profile in 15 Bytes.
