Call for Public Artists for the Farmington Regional Center

Due Nov. 8

Professional artists and artist teams are invited to submit letters of interest and qualifications for the creation of public artwork for the new Farmington Regional Center.

The Utah Division of Arts & Museums’ Public Art Program, in association with the Utah Division of Facilities and Construction Management, requests qualifications from Utah-based artists and/or artist teams interested in creating site-specific artwork for the Farmington Regional Center. This facility will house regional offices for four state agencies: the Department of Health and Human Services, Utah Division of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Public Safety, and the Department of Workforce Services.

The selection committee has identified the exterior courtyard as the area of interest for this project, and is strongly interested in artworks that will integrate with the planned landscaping. Proposed artworks should be reflective of the natural beauty of Davis County, as well as acknowledging Utah’s robust outdoor recreation tradition. Professional artists and artist teams residing in Utah are eligible for this commission. Artists living in Davis County will receive additional weight in the review process.

The full description and how to apply are available here. Deadline for submissions from interested artists is 11:59 p.m. MT on Nov. 8. Applications should be submitted at CallForEntry.org.
