Reception, Friday, Nov. 3, 6-9 pm
For her seventh solo exhibition, Gallery MAR welcomes local encaustic painter Bridgette Meinhold to her artist reception on Friday, November 3rd at 6pm. The reception is open to the public and will feature local musicians and light bites from Savoury Kitchen.
This new collection of artwork features local mountain vistas and aspen groves with resplendent sunrise skies and oncoming storms. Although she lives in a remote mountain-top area, Meinhold is not immune to the stresses of the world. Perhaps her view allows for a more global view.
For millennia, the years slowly rolled on and we gradually plodded along with them. But now, change happens in days, a matter of hours even, and we are continually being asked to quickly adapt, alter, and accept. As Meinhold looks to nature as a way of learning how to be flexible, sturdy, solid, adaptable, calm, patient, and understanding (but also how to not give up!) to keep trying new things, and to find joy wherever possible, we look to her work to feel inspired.
Live Music and light refreshments will be provided. The exhibition will hang for three weeks.
