Biennial Faculty Exhibit at WSU’s Shaw Gallery

Sep. 17 – Nov. 13

The Mary Elizabeth Dee Shaw Gallery at Weber State University is pleased to host the 2021 Biennial Faculty Exhibition from Sept. 17- Nov. 13 in the Kimball Visual Arts Center. The exhibition features recent works by more than 30 artists teaching in the Department of Visual Art and Design with concentrations in ceramics, digital media, drawing, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and visual communications. The public is invited to an opening reception Sept. 17 from 6-8 p.m. in the atrium adjacent to the Shaw Gallery. Both the exhibition and the reception are free.

The Biennial Faculty Exhibition provides a valuable opportunity for students to see just how the ideas discussed in the classroom are manifest in the studios of our faculty, and includes a wide range of media and artistic styles that reflect the breadth of art practices. These faculty members teach more than 3,500 students and mentor 300 art majors annually. They help develop art and design professionals with critical thinking skills through educational experiences based in history, theory and practice. The 2021 Biennial Faculty Exhibition is produced in collaboration with the Department of Visual Arts & Design.
