You probably recognize her work. Not only because Park City’s Gallery MAR has featured her work every January for the past three years, but because the graphic jouissance of her looping black lines and the chromatic splendour of her palette are hard to forget. Amy Ringholz’s solo show at Gallery MAR opens this Friday and promises a parade of canvases featuring animals from as close as our own Rocky Mountains and as far away as South Africa. In this video profile, the Wyoming artist discusses her work while she demonstrates her process, from initial graphite drawing, to luscious ink and paint application.
