Chuck Berrett Mural Blooms at Cozy Coffee

A late spring storm descended on northern Utah just as the foothills of the Wasatch Front were bursting into bright green and gardens all along the urban corridor were in full bloom. Chuck Berrett’s new mural wrapping three walls of the Cozy Coffee Lounge in South Salt Lake (2590 S. Main) is a vibrant reminder of what lies beneath the rain and snow and is about to erupt across gardens large and small.

The mural features vibrant, stylized depictions of roses in full bloom. The design includes a broad spectrum of colors like shades of blue, orange, pink, and green, forming a dynamic and intricate pattern. The bold brushstrokes and color contrasts give the roses a sense of movement and depth, enhancing the visual impact of the mural. The building’s features, such as a window and a door, are seamlessly integrated into the composition, while a yellow fire hydrant in front provides an interesting contrast.

A Salt Lake City native, Berrett has created similarly dynamic floral interpretations as murals at Midvale’s Los Muros on Main, Fit to Recover in Salt Lake City and Facil Taqueria in Holladay
