Artists of Utah’s 35×35 Exhibition, a look at Utah’s young generation of artists, returns to Salt Lake City’s Finch Lane Gallery August-September 2016. Artists 35 years old and younger, time to finish up those masterpieces and submit them to the exhibition.

Here’s a look at the artists from our last 35×35 exhibition in 2013
What Is It?
35X35 Exhibition is Artists of Utah’s showcase of work by Utah’s young generation of artists. Occurring every three and a half years, this exhibit features work by 35 artists 35 years old or younger, providing the artists with a unique exhibition opportunity as well as extended media coverage to help further their career.
How It Works:
Artists of Utah Board members choose work by thirty-five artists selected from the open call for entries. Independent jurors award First, Second and Third Place Prizes and a People’s Choice award is selected by voting ballots collected from gallery patrons over the duration of the exhibition. The Board of Directors will choose one artist to receive a Board of Directors Award and be invited to sit on the board of Artists of Utah.
Collected entry fees will be used for cash prizes, artist profile video productions, promotional materials, website publications and installation expenses associated with the 35×35 exhibition.
Beyond Cash Awards, Any Other Perks?
· Exposure: April 2013, opening night of the 35×35 Exhibition was attended by over 650 Salt Lake City gallery visitors. The 35×35 exhibition gives exposure to artists who were just starting out and continues Artists of Utah’s commitment to fostering Utah’s young generation of artists.
· Networking: This is your chance to get to know members of Utah’s art community, including the staff at Artists of Utah and 15 Bytes, your peers from around the state, gallerists (artists in past exhibits have gained representation at 35 x 35) and other art professionals. We also will be hosting a professional development workshop during the course of the exhibition.
· Publicity: 15Bytes produces video interviews of the 35×35 artists that are posted online at 15Bytes, Utah Arts Magazine.

Salt Lake City Arts Council’s, Finch Lane Gallery will once again host the 35×35 exhibition.
When Will It Happen?
Exhibition Dates: August 12 through September 23, 2016.
Opening Reception: August 12, 2016.
Finch Lane Gallery will be open for Salt Lake gallery strolls: August 19 & September 23, 2016.
Awards Ceremony: Friday, September 23, 2016.
